Babies

"Train up a child in the way he should go (and in keeping with his individual gift or bent), and when he is old he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6

My youngest daughter is pregnant with her first child. To me, it is always a miraculous thing to watch your children grow up and then become parents themselves. This will be my 12th grandchild.... and I know there is more to come. ;-)

I included the above verse in my post for today as a little side note. Some might misinterpret this verse to mean something other than what it truly says. We are to bring up our children not only in the Word of God, but also in their natural bent or gifting that God blessed them with. This can be rather tricky without seeking God's help and/or guidance to achieve the right goal. Having raised seven children of my own and observing their distinct, different personalities, this verse still catches my attention even today. Was I faithful to train up each one according to their own bent... their own giftings that God gave to them. I pray so. Now it is their turn to train up their own children. May I have left deep footprints in God's precious Word, that they are able to see and follow..... right to Him... dragging their own children behind.

Here's the quilt that I made for this new little one.. another boy. Isn't God good??
