Back to Israel

In my last post, I shared pictures showing the diversity of the people of Israel. In the next few posts I will share the diversity of the land. It is such a beautiful country!!

In this first picture, my cousin Lisa, my brother John and I are at the top of Mt. Carmel. It was stunning. For those who aren't familiar with Mt. Carmel, read I Kings 18 when Elijah challenges the prophets of Baal. To think that I was standing right there was mindbogglingly.

My brother John and his friend Don reenacted Elijah with the prophets of Baal right below Elijah's statue. Those two never stopped!!

That day we also went to The Grottos. We had already been inside several tunnels on this trip, but this tunnel, as far as beauty was concerned.... this tunnel was beyond compare. To reach the tunnel we had to take a cable car down... the steepest in the world.

Once inside the tunnel, it was a continuous wonder to the eye that pictures alone can't describe or show.

Outside the tunnel, Lisa and I just wanted to inhale it all in and bring it home with us.

Uncle John cracks me up! That was one of Ryder's favorite stories in his Bible Reader this year, he'll enjoy the pics.

Very beautiful!!!!!

Hopefully you clicked on the picture to make it bigger... those guys were the biggest hams the whole trip! There was a group of guys that just never stopped. They made the trip fun. And yes... it was incredibly beautiful... Love you, mom
